Job Title: Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: ยฃ41,341 – ยฃ47,919 basic salary, plus attendance allowance

per annum
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

I am working with a very well established organisation who have a passion about children and young people, creating environments to positively improve those in their care.

With three homes and a school on site, there is ample opportunity to grow and progress within this company.

If you are Deputy Manager in residential childcare looking for a fresh challenge, or looking for career progression into that Deputy position, this could be for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support the Registered Manager in overseeing the home’s daily operations
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Residential Support Workers
  • Maintain high standards of care and ensure the home meets Ofsted regulations
  • Ensure effective safeguarding and compliance with all relevant policies
  • Work closely with external professionals and families to support young people
  • Assist in staff development, training, and performance management

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) (a must-have).
  • Either very strong senior / team leader ready to step up or experience as a Deputy Manager in a residential childcare setting
  • Either started or willingness to complete Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a children’s residential setting.
  • Great leadership skills – someone who can inspire and support a team.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • A caring, patient, and resilient attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts where required
  • A full UK driving license
