Overview

Care2Recruit are seeking Childrens Residential Support workers on behalf of a well-established company that provide medium to long term care and support to young people between the ages of 8 and 18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

We are looking for passionate individuals to join the team based in Crewe to help provide high quality, consistent and reliable care.

Job Description

  • Assist in the development of new techniques and approaches to child care provision
  • Encourage development of individual interests and attitude
  • To promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each young person
  • Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with the young people that will promote their sense of security
  • Provide firm, consistent and fair boundaries in respect of their behaviour
  • Assist Young People in the development and sustaining of positive social networks with adults and other peer groups
  • To organise and participate in group activities and group holidays
  • To assist in the provision/preparation of meals in the home
  • To assist and support Young People through the process of leaving care
  • Encourage Young People to develop their full educational and vocational attainment
  • Observe and assess the behaviour of Young People
  • To engage in and supervise day to day care practices, creating an accepting environment conducive to the positive personal development of each Young Person
  • To undertake in planning for and preparation of Young People for admission or discharge, to and from residential care

Essential Requirements

  • Experience of working with Children and Young People in a residential setting
  • Full UK driving license
