Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: ยฃ30,030 – ยฃ34,302 basic salary, plus sleeps AND attendance allowance bonus – potential earnings c. ยฃ40,000
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role:
I am working with a very well established organisation who have a passion about children and young people, creating environments to positively improve those in their care.
With three homes and a school on site, there is ample opportunity to grow and progress within this company.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting young people with their emotional, social, and physical needs.
- Leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of Residential Support Workers.
- Helping create and follow care plans that put the children first.
- Encouraging a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where kids can thrive.
- Supporting the Registered Manager with Ofsted regulations and policies.
- Handling challenging behaviours in a calm and professional way.
- Planning and joining in with fun activities and outings.
- Acting as a key worker, offering guidance and emotional support.
- Keeping accurate records and ensuring safeguarding procedures are always followed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – if working towards, your application can still be considered.
- Experience working in a children’s residential setting.
- Leadership skills with the ability to support and inspire a team.
- Great communication and people skills.
- A caring, patient, and resilient attitude.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.
- A full UK driving license
